About

There are plenty of attractive men in the world, but unfortunately few of them that are avid readers. Welcome to "Hot Guys Reading Books" the blog that scours the internet for examples of luscious literary men and gathers the evidence in one place.

Hot Guys Reading Books is updated almost every day.

Submissions Welcome!

You can submit here.
OR, submit your photos to hotguysreadingbooks@gmail.com.

Don't think the guys are hot enough? The quality of the photos are only as good as the submissions. If you think you are (or know someone who is) hot stuff, snap a photo, and send it in!

Meet the Writers

Alli has a degree in English and still reads profusely even though she works in software. HGRB was Alli's brainchild, and she still cannot believe how popular it's gotten. Aside from reading and blogging, she enjoys drawing, adrenaline inducing adventurous activities, and making her friends laugh.

Kristin is a twenty-something grad student and future English teacher. She procrastinates by baking, crafting, shopping, riding her pink bike, and reading books that aren't course requirements. Kristin believes in the cause of hot guys reading books so much that she found one of her own, and now she raids his bookshelf all the time.

Consider Lindsay a twenty-something Anne of Green Gables. She works in a library and a middle-school. She enjoys eating mint chocolate chip ice cream while plotting to take over the world, crocheting Harry Potter-themed scarves, taking her dog, Penelope, for long walks, and reading as many books as she can get her hands on. She even has a literary tattoo. Once, Lindsay was compared to President Garfield.

Brandon is a young man who is possibly obsessed with both books and guys. He is pursuing a Degree in English and Library Science, with plans to own a bookshop later in life. He enjoys all kinds of sweets, very rainy days, dancing, and the color pink. He's immensely proud of being a half-Cuban and the small personal library he owns.

Jordan is a farm kid in her early twenties and in graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology. When not doing the school thing, she works as a freelance sports writer for an embarrassingly low price. She enjoys time with her dog, Maggie May, sewing items that her mother has to fix, hotdogs, and summer camp. Her bucket list includes learning to play the cello and living on the Pacific Northwest coast.

Jeez!  Some people have all the luck.  This submitter found a bearded redhead reading in a coffee shop of some kind.  This never happens for me!
As the submitter wrote, “Beard + Book = Swoon.”  Yes.  Yes, it does.
(thanks, jessica!)

All our submitter wrote was, “Frankenstein.” I’m not sure if this hot guy’s nickname (or real name, ouch) is Frankenstein or if he is reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Let’s go with reading Frankenstein. Anyway, this reminds of me of those super intelligent, deep thinking, attractive boys from high school who hung out at the local coffee shop that I was too intimidated by to actually have a conversation with. Really, all I want to do is wear his flannel shirt, talk about poor Mary Shelley’s nightmares, and then go listen to Dave Matthews together in his Jeep. Sigh.
Side note: I actually wrote a paper in my British Literature class about how much I loathe the character of Dr. Frankenstein. Still do.
(thanks, Grace!)

Some people take one book to the local coffee shop for some quality reading time while they sip the nectar of the gods.  Not this guy.  He takes a book, as well as back-up reading material.  His back-up book is by Nick Hornby who I really like, but I can’t tell which one this is.
Have a good Sunday, all.  Hope it’s spent reading in a sunny window with a hot guy!
(thanks, Jane!)

Juliette, our lucky submitter who spotted this cutie, writes, “Reading the New York Times in a local coffee shop. So hot.” Agreed. To quote Billy Madison, “So hot. Want to touch the heiney.” Oh, too far? But yeah, I think we all want to order a caramel macchiatto and do the NYT crossword with this guy.

Say hi to Joe! Nyssa sent in this picture of her husband (lucky girl!) reading a manga at Coffee Bean. Just so you know, your husband has great taste! D.Gray-man is an awesome manga.
The submitter writes, “After taking this picture, I had to send it to all my bookworm girl friends… It was unanimous that the next step was submitting it to Hot Guys Reading Books. I don’t think Joe has stopped blushing since I told him.” Aww, that’s adorable! I can’t imagine how much cuter your husband is when he’s blushing.
(thanks, Nyssa!)

A submitter spotted this delicious man reading a book at a coffee shop in Victoria, BC’s Cook Street village. She writes, “Wouldn’t mind a slice of that with my cup o’ joe.”
(thanks, Ema!)

Here’s anther one for those of you who like beards. Although, Blake here isn’t quite as beardy as the last bearded fellow.
He’s got a rather serious look on his face with his almost furrowed brow. Furrowed brows are kind of sexy.
(thanks, harrharrharr!)
