Meet the Writers
Alli has a degree in English and still reads profusely even though she works in software. HGRB was Alli's brainchild, and she still cannot believe how popular it's gotten. Aside from reading and blogging, she enjoys drawing, adrenaline inducing adventurous activities, and making her friends laugh.

Kristin is a twenty-something grad student and future English teacher. She procrastinates by baking, crafting, shopping, riding her pink bike, and reading books that aren't course requirements. Kristin believes in the cause of hot guys reading books so much that she found one of her own, and now she raids his bookshelf all the time.

Consider Lindsay a twenty-something Anne of Green Gables. She works in a library and a middle-school. She enjoys eating mint chocolate chip ice cream while plotting to take over the world, crocheting Harry Potter-themed scarves, taking her dog, Penelope, for long walks, and reading as many books as she can get her hands on. She even has a literary tattoo. Once, Lindsay was compared to President Garfield.

Brandon is a young man who is possibly obsessed with both books and guys. He is pursuing a Degree in English and Library Science, with plans to own a bookshop later in life. He enjoys all kinds of sweets, very rainy days, dancing, and the color pink. He's immensely proud of being a half-Cuban and the small personal library he owns.

Jordan is a farm kid in her early twenties and in graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology. When not doing the school thing, she works as a freelance sports writer for an embarrassingly low price. She enjoys time with her dog, Maggie May, sewing items that her mother has to fix, hotdogs, and summer camp. Her bucket list includes learning to play the cello and living on the Pacific Northwest coast.

One of our followers, Laurie, met a hot Malaysian who reads on a beach 200 miles east of Kuala Lumpur. She writes that he had two books with him, A Wild Sheep Chase and a play by Cormac McCarthy. Here I must interject that I am very impressed with his reading materials. What an intellectual stud!
Laurie goes on to say that the HGRB used to write for a living, but decided to switch to computer engineering. The life of a starving writer isn’t for everyone, so I’m glad he’s still finding time to read. Maybe he’ll make a writing comeback someday.

In honor of The Hunger Games premiering tomorrow, I wanted to find a submission of an HGRB reading the book or one of the sequels. I found one! This guy is reading Catching Fire on the Los Muertos beach in Puerto Vallarta, and sexily running his fingers through his hair.

I think this picture is super appropriate for Spring Break 2012. This hot guy is soaking up some rays and catching up on some reading in the Bahamas. I love how he is totally in vacation mode, including awesome hair, casual facial scruff, and relaxing in wicker. So, if you’re not fortunate enough to be on Spring Break this week, maybe you can just close your eyes and pretend you’re hanging out on a Bahama beach with this guy and doing a little pleasure reading. Sounds like an ideal vacay to me.

I kind of like the different angle, and that he’s on a bench swing. I love bench swings. Also, we get to see his hat. I’m wondering if he’s hiding some epic hair under that hat? I hope so!

What do you do on your last beach weekend before the end of summer? Why, you spend it reading of course.
However, the submitter did note that this guy’s favorite season is fall. I salute his good taste. Fall is a splendid season for reading with a hot cup of tea or cider.
