Kristin is a twenty-something grad student and future English teacher. She procrastinates by baking, crafting, shopping, riding her pink bike, and reading books that aren't course requirements. Kristin believes in the cause of hot guys reading books so much that she found one of her own, and now she raids his bookshelf all the time.

Consider Lindsay a twenty-something Anne of Green Gables. She works in a library and a middle-school. She enjoys eating mint chocolate chip ice cream while plotting to take over the world, crocheting Harry Potter-themed scarves, taking her dog, Penelope, for long walks, and reading as many books as she can get her hands on. She even has a literary tattoo. Once, Lindsay was compared to President Garfield.

Brandon is a young man who is possibly obsessed with both books and guys. He is pursuing a Degree in English and Library Science, with plans to own a bookshop later in life. The submitter tells us, “This is my hubby reading to my 3 year old and 2 month old. The book may not be high literature but I can’t think of anything hotter than a guy reading to his kids. He’s a professor of Neuroscience and I could’ve gotten a pic of him with one of his texts but I like this one.”
This is both cute, adorable, AND hot! All at once. I hope I have a husband who will do this exact thing one day. …Though chances are I’ll be the husband to do this.
(thanks, Christa!)

This is “Hot Tim.” I can definitely see why that adjective has been bestowed upon him. The submitter writes, “Tim is an English teacher in Auckland, New Zealand. The baby is not Tim’s. Tim is single.”
Since this photo was sent to me in December of 2010, I gather that Tim is probably no longer single. Also, the baby is probably a bit bigger now. However, Mockingjay is still an enjoyable book! (Who else is as excited as I am for the Hunger Games film?)
(thanks, Melanie!)

I know, I know. I have this rule against e-readers because you don’t know if it’s really a book on there, or something else.
Rules are meant to be broken, right? I saw this and had to post it, despite the fact that he’s reading a Kindle. Just look at it. He’s super hot, and there’s an adorable baby!
(thanks!)

I had some difficulties deciding if I should allow this to be the final Father’s Day photo or not. On one hand, what the hot dad is reading stretches the defenition of book just a bit. On the other hand, the guy is very hot, he even runs the teecycle.org organization depicted on his shirt. And the tiny baby! Looking at it is like spontanious ovulation.
So I asked my Hotness Experts, and it was unanimous. He was in. Some choice comments:
He’s adorable and BABY! I think I even spontaneously ovulated and I don’t even want babies.
AND
Well, to lend support to it being a book:1) it has words.2) it is bound in some way.
There you have it. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
(thanks, Nancy!)

The lovely Kent is shown here reading The Shy Creatures by David Mack to our one-month-old, Konner. Aren’t the adorable? Look how Konnor is gazing up at his daddy’s face! Father’s day photos was the best idea ever!

One of my favorite things as a kid was when my dad would read to me. Father’s day is coming up, and from now until then (or as long as I can) I’m posting photos of hot guys reading to small children.
If you’ve been thinking about submitting this type of photo, do so now! It doesn’t have to be father and child, it can be an uncle, big brother, or a family friend.
(thanks, Jessica!)

The submitter writes, “One hot guy teaching the next generation of hot guys the importance and joy of books.”
Aww! This photo makes me want to say nonsense words in a very high pitched voice!
(thanks, Emi!)
